In short

Perfion is a product information management system from Denmark that centralises product data and publishes it to webshops, print catalogues, data sheets and apps. It is best known for ready-made integration with Microsoft Dynamics ERP and SAP Business One, which makes it a common choice for ERP-centric manufacturers and distributors. Since 2023 it has been part of Boyum IT, a Volpi Capital portfolio company.

Overview

Perfion manages structured product data and related media (images, video, audio and documents) in one repository and pushes it to e-commerce sites, marketplaces, print catalogues and specification sheets. Boyum material describes ready-to-use integration with Microsoft Dynamics (NAV, AX and Dynamics 365 Business Central and Finance) and SAP Business One, and customer testimonials reference publishing to Amazon and eBay. The system offers both a Windows rich client and a web client, and is described by the vendor as configurable without heavy custom development.

Three hosting models are documented: on-premise with a local SQL Server, self-managed on Microsoft Azure, and Perfion-hosted SaaS on Azure managed by the vendor with sized tiers. In 2025 the product team released Perfion Content Store, a self-service way to share product information and digital assets with suppliers, vendors and partners, along with a guided Import Wizard and built-in notifications and comments. AI has been added for assisted data enrichment and intelligent import mapping, with further AI work stated to follow customer demand in 2026.

Perfion was founded in Denmark in 2002 and built a partner-led footprint with offices in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, the United Kingdom and the United States. In May 2023 Boyum IT, backed by Volpi Capital, acquired the company, adding a Microsoft-oriented product to its SAP Business One portfolio. Boyum reports more than 15,000 customers and over 1,100 partners across its product range.
