1WorldSync is a product content network and GS1 GDSN data pool that connects brands and manufacturers with retailers, distributors and foodservice operators. Formed in 2012 from GS1 US and GS1 Germany data pools, it was acquired by Syndigo in September 2025. Its strength is supply chain item data synchronisation through GDSN combined with rich content syndication, PIM and ratings and reviews.
Overview
1WorldSync's offering spans content creation, management, delivery and optimisation. Content creation includes product photography (GS1 Product Images) and item setup automation. Content management covers a PIM application and ChannelOnline, and the newer 1WorldSync Commerce Suite brings these together for cross-team use. Content delivery includes e-commerce and supply chain syndication, with GDSN publication to retailers and operators, and rich content syndication for retailer product pages. The PowerReviews platform adds user-generated content such as ratings and reviews, and retail e-commerce analytics support content optimisation. The company describes itself as one of the few GDSN data pool providers with ISO 27001 certification.
In September 2025 Syndigo announced the acquisition of 1WorldSync, creating a combined business with an enterprise value reported at more than USD 3.5 billion, about 1,500 employees and 12 offices. At announcement, 1WorldSync reported serving more than 17,000 companies in over 60 countries. Syndigo has said that 1WorldSync products will be integrated into Syndigo solutions over time, with existing modules fully supported and no change to SLAs in the interim. In October 2026 the 1WorldSync website still operates under its own brand. AI capabilities are being developed within Syndigo's AI-first PXM positioning; specific 1WorldSync AI features were not described on its site.
1WorldSync was formed in 2012 through the merger of 1SYNC (GS1 US) and SA2 Worldsync (GS1 Germany), owned 60% and 40% by those organisations. Battery Ventures acquired 1WorldSync Holdings in July 2019. Syndigo, itself backed by Summit Partners and TJC, acquired the company in 2025, bringing a GS1-rooted data pool into a commercial PXM group.
